Pithead Campsite is perfect for family camping.  Children, well-behaved dogs and campervans are all welcome to come and enjoy this lovely corner of East Devon.  It is one of the only campsites that allows camp fires...how can camping be camping without a fire?!  We don't take caravans but smaller campervans are welcome on selected pitches. There are no hook-ups.

It offers an intimate space for your tent, surrounded by wild flowers and grasses, and plenty of safe, child friendly space for children to run around in the great outdoors.

There is a hot outdoor shower and 2 compost loos.  If you fancy meeting new people there is a communal bar/kitchen with water for washing up, a commual fire-pit camp fire surrounded with comfy sofas and a large communal bar-b-que.  There is something for everyone, young and old!

Alongside the field is a grass, tennis court and although a little bumpy, it is available for use to campers weather permitting. Please see additional information regarding current guidelines.

Pithead Campsite is, as the title says, in the heart of East Devon and has unlimited wonderful places to visit - for all the family.

We feel that cars spoil the view and atmosphere of the site (not to mention  squashing the meadow) and ask campers to unload at the gate and then park in a seperate field, next to the site.
